Adapter Lead (ADAPT2)

To use an external microphone or line-out from another device, you must buy this adapter lead. It accepts a 3.5mm stereo jack plug from your microphone or other listening device. It also has a second socket into which you can plug an earpiece or speakers.

Compatibility

The recorder can provide bias voltage suitable for driving many electret-condenser microphones but this can be disabled.

Size

The small size of the RememBird means that the entire setup shown above (microphone, leads, earpiece and recorder) will fit inside the carrying bag intended to hold just the microphone! Or you can fit RememBird onto the pistol grip giving a one-handed setup as shown here.

Functionality

Use the accompanying software to enable or disable external microphone and/or line-in recording. You can switch between line-in and external microphone recording in the field by holding both record buttons down.
