Hi Chris and Murray,

I experienced the same thing when trying to upload a recording of last Tuesday, a bizar song of Blue Tit resembling Marsh Tit, as I bought also a laptop and a pc with Windows 7 and a 64-bits version. Is there already a solution for these systems ?
I checked if the last recordings have been wiped of the card, but they were still there. I could upload them to my old laptop running Windows XP.

Kind regards,

Dirk

We've heard of people succeeding with the XP Virtual Machine feature of Windows 7.

Google for

windows 7 xp virtual machine

Let us know if that doesn't work and we'll dig deeper.

Ok, Chris, I'll try it out one of the coming days. It seems a bit complicated. One has to go into the Bios of the pc and modify something and so on.

Yuk. Will see if I can find the email from the chap who did it. He certainly made it sound easy!

Unfortunately, the XP Virtual Machine is only available on Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate editions - not on the Home or Home Premium ones so won't work if you have either of those. As I say, this week and next are a bit stressful as we try to get RememBird II across the finishing line but I'll start digging on this for you.

All the best
Chris

I have Window 7 Home Premium on both pc and laptop. So, I will wait, though I think I read it is possible for Window 7 Home Premium-systems too to have Virtual PC and so XP on a dual-bootlike system .
