V3.0.1 upgrade suggestions

Postby Roger Hughes on Wed Feb 03, 2010 11:06 am

Suggestions
1. Ability to export multiple trips in a single *.csv file
2. Enhanced reports with facility to include multiple trips and queries by
a. species
b. date
c. location
I realise this may be asking a bit much and may not be possible given the current SW constraints, however, anything that saves me the trouble of manually entering everything into Wildlife Recorder just to get trip reports and lists would be useful.

Hi Roger,

Remind us in a couple of weeks about this lot as we get RBII into production.

Thanks

Appologies as I didn't get back to you, but have you taken any of my ideas on board?
Also following our discussion on buttons which give to many 'hand bag' recording. If you remember you said that changing them would mean that people using gloves would be at a disadvantage. However I have just purchased a Garmin eTrex GPS and this has really chunky buttons that stand up from the case and need possitive pressure to engage, I am sure they have the same problem with gloved hands but their solution realy seems to work. To late now for V2 but should you go for a further HW release I suggest it would be worth consideration.
Cheers

Hi Roger,
Getting RBII into production has proved a bit of a challenge and taken a lot longer than we expected. The sub-contractor we use went into liquidation just before they were due to be made and we're just now getting production quantities through. Hence, still need to circle back and look at the list of enhancements. Should be out of the woods in a couple of weeks once we clear the order backlog.

All the best
Chris
